John Carpino
John Carpino is only the 8th President in the 50-year history of Angels Baseball. As President, John oversees the areas of business, sales, and marketing and communications. His promotion followed six seasons as the Angels’ Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing during which he oversaw all aspects of marketing, promotions and ticket sales. Under his leadership and direction, the Angels’ organization has enjoyed unprecedented financial growth in the sponsorship, marketing and ticketing divisions, in addition to a significance increase in attendance — exceeding 3 million for nine consecutive seasons (2004-2011).
John began his professional career in the billboard industry in 1982. In 1985, he joined Arte Moreno at Outdoor Systems (CBS Outdoor). John oversaw $200 million in sales for the Western Region.
John earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arizona. He has served on the Executive Board for the Orange County United Way since 2008. John and his wife Elizabeth have three children and reside in Laguna Beach.
