Marilyn Hester Robbins
Marilyn Hester Robbins is the founder and President of Hester Financial, a real estate investment company. Previously, she served as President of Hester Development Company and was also an elementary school teacher. Mrs. Robbins earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of California, Berkeley. Her late father, Charley Hester, was an instrumental figure in shaping CHOC Children’s as it exists today. Mr. Hester served on the Board at CHOC Children’s Hospital and as Chairman for CHOC Children’s at Mission Hospital over the course of nearly 20 years. Continuing on in the same spirit as her father, Mrs. Robbins has served on the CHOC Children’s Foundation Board since 1997. In addition to her involvement with CHOC Children’s, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Scholarship Fund at the Beckman Laser Institute, and volunteers her time to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Orange County and the Assistance League of Newport Mesa.
